Katie Lang joined the Wayne State University athletic department as an assistant athletic trainer in September 2004. Her primary sport during the 2008-09 academic year will be women's ice hockey. She has also worked with the Warrior football, volleyball and softball programs.
Lang spent the 2003-04 academic year as an assistant athletic trainer and assistant softball coach at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Lang graduated in 2001 from South Carolina-Spartanburg where she played softball for coach Chris Hawkins.
She received her master's degree in athletic training in 2003 from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
