Nicole Schmiedeknecht joined the Wayne State sports medicine staff as an intern in the summer of 2008.

A current student at Central Michigan University, Schmiedeknecht graduated in 2004 from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw.

She has previously worked as an athletic training student at CMU gymnastics, track and field, and summer sport camps. Schmiedeknecht also worked at Beal City High School and at Fitzone for Women in Allen Park.

She is the daughter of Scott Schmiedeknecht and Nicole Vickers.
