Chris Ogden begins his fifth season with the Wayne State baseball staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

Ogden is a 1998 graduate of Siena Heights University in Adrian, Mich. He was a four-year letterman for the Saints at third base and on the mound. In 1997, Ogden broke the record for home runs (13) and tied the record for doubles (19) in a season. Ogden earned First Team All-WHAC honors his junior year and was named to the Honorable Mention team as a senior in 1998.

While at SHU, he also went on a three-week summer tour with Team America through Germany and Holland in 1996 and 1997.

For the past three years, Ogden has been giving hitting and pitching lessons at The Players Edge in Pontiac.

He graduated high school from Detroit Country Day in 1993 where he was selected all-state as a senior.
