HILLSDALE, Mich. - Jon Weisman (Woodhaven, Mich.) homered in his third straight game as the Wayne State baseball team (15-8, 4-3 GLIAC) earned a 3-1 win at Hillsdale (8-15, 1-8 GLIAC) on Sunday afternoon.

Kyle Hill (Mississauga, Ont./St. Michael's) scattered 10 hits over seven innings for the complete-game victory (4-1), walking none and striking out six.

Wayne State scored two unearned runs in the first inning, capitalizing on a couple of Hillsdale defensive miscues, to take a 2-0 lead before Weisman led off the second with a solo shot to right field.

After Nate Chucta's RBI single put the Chargers on the board in the third, neither Hill nor Hillsdale starter Marcos Aguilera surrendered another run for the rest of the game.

Seven of WSU's starting nine recorded a hit, including a pair by Tony Hines (Detroit, Mich./Mumford), who also scored a run. Ryan LaPensee (LaSalle, Ont./St. Thomas of Villanova) tripled in the sixth inning.
