The Wayne State baseball team's scheduled nine-inning contest at Eastern Michigan has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions, head coach Jay Alexander announced Wednesday morning.

This is the second time this season a game between the Warriors and Eagles has been the victim of inclement weather. The two teams met on March 27 in Detroit but were unable to complete the five innings necessary to make the game official due to rain.

Wayne State will resume conference play this weekend as the Warriors travel to Grand Valley State for a pair of doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday. The first twinbill will be broadcast on the Internet via Teamline.
