The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Wayne State senior lefty Mat Yenrick (Toledo, Ohio) was named Pitcher of the Week.

Yenrick had his best week as a Warrior, posting a pair of three-hit complete-game victories. At Saginaw Valley State on Wednesday, Yenrick retired the last 14 batters and struck out three while not walking anyone to complete WSU's only shutout of the season, 6-0.

Then on Senior Day, Yenrick struck out five batters for his third win of the season, helping the Warriors to a 9-2 triumph over Northwood this past Sunday.

For the week, Yenrick gave up just six hits, two runs, and four walks while striking out eight in 14.0 innings of work.

Wayne State plays a non-conference twinbill at Eastern Michigan tomorrow and concludes the regular season with three games at Oakland beginning Saturday.
