CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - Eight members of the Wayne State University baseball team received all-league honors from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as announced Thursday afternoon on the first day of the GLIAC Tournament.

Sophomore catcher Michael Wiseman (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) was named to the All-GLIAC First Team, along with senior shortstop Matthew Williams (Detroit, Mich./Royal Oak Shrine) and junior outfielder Ryan LaPensee (LaSalle, Ont./St. Thomas of Villanova).

Senior pitcher Dane Little (Windsor, Ont./F.J. Brennan Catholic) and freshman second baseman Andrew Ciennik (Waterford, Mich./Mott) received All-GLIAC Second Team honors, as did Adam Kaminski (Clinton Twp., Mich./Mt. Clemens) who was recognized as both a first baseman and relief pitcher.

Taking All-GLIAC Honorable Mention distinction were senior third baseman Charlie Dunneback (Lansing, Mich./Grand Ledge) and junior pitcher Justin Mazur (Macomb, Mich./De La Salle).

Wayne State, the fourth seed in the GLIAC Tournament, will meet top-seeded Ashland in the second game of Thursday's opening round at 7:00 p.m. Grand Valley State defeated Northwood, 6-4, in the first game Thursday afternoon.
