DETROIT - Wayne State University redshirt sophomore catcher Michael Wiseman (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) garnered additional honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday, as he was voted to receive a "Golden Glove" award for outstanding defense.

Wiseman tied for the team lead with a .985 fielding percentage, 14th-best in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. He made just five errors in 332 chances, and had just five passed balls. Wiseman also caught 27 runners stealing, by far the conference leader (second place was 16).

This is Wiseman's third All-Region honor this season. In addition to his ABCA All-Region Second Team and "Golden Glove" selections, Wiseman was chosen to the Daktronics, Inc. All-Region Second Team. He was also a First Team All-GLIAC honoree.
