Nick Grabowski is in his 13th season as an assistant coach for the Warriors. He joined the Warrior staff in 1992-93 after serving as an assistant coach at St. Mary's College from 1990-92. During that time the Eagles were champions of the NAIA District 23, and in 1991-92 advanced to the NAIA Men's National Championship Tournament. The Eagles also won the Small Catholic National Championship that season.
In October 1999, Grabowski was inducted into the University of Windsor Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport of basketball. From 1968-90 Grabowski coached basketball at the University of Windsor. From 1968-80 and 1981-90, he was the assistant varsity coach and freshman basketball coach. Grabowski assisted former Warrior head coach Robert Samaras (1973-77) while Samaras was head coach at Windsor. The 1968-69 Lancers' squad won the National Canadian Championship.
Grabowski was inducted into the OUAA West Division Basketball Hall of Fame on April 8, 1995. He also became a lifetime member of the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, on April 1, 1995. He is a 1970 graduate of the University of Windsor, and holds a master's degree in business administration from Pacific Western University in Toronto. He is a national customer relations representative with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan.
Grabowski and his wife, Greta, reside in White Lake, Michigan, and have one son, Nicholas, and one daughter, Catherine.
