UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The WSU regular-season conference schedule began with a wild game at Saginaw Valley State, one that gave the Cardinals (3-2, 1-0 GLIAC) revenge over the Warriors (2-2, 0-1 GLIAC) with a 100-94 overtime win on Saturday, Nov. 30. The teams met in non-conference action just eight days ago in the North/South GLIAC Classic with the Warriors winning 93-81 in Detroit.
Justin Chapman's (Toledo, Ohio/Rogers) shot gave the Warriors an early 8-2 lead, but the Cardinals went on an 11-1 run and owned a 40-31 advantage at the half.
Sanders' sequence of a lay-up, steal, lay-up and assist to Morris Hall (Detroit, Mich./Henry Ford) cut the lead to 45-41 with 16:36 left.
Kendon Edwards (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) tipped in a Hall miss and grabbed the ensuing defensive rebound, offensive board and another tip-in to tie the game at 47 apiece. Kendall LeSure's (Detroit, Mich./Pershing) steal and break away lay-up gave the Warriors a two-point lead.
WSU went up by six after a Chapman tip-in, followed by another LeSure steal which led to his thee-point play with 2:48 left in the game.

With 1.8 seconds remaining, Maurice Brown tipped an Anthony Parker miss and the Cardinals took a timeout, but did not have any remaining, transferring to a technical foul. LeSure made both free throws and gave the Warriors a three-point lead.
Chapman's inbound pass down court was intercepted by Parker and Parker threw up a desperation half-court shot that went in to force overtime.
SVSU went on a 6-0 run to begin the extra five-minute period. The game was tied six times and there were five lead changes between the two teams.
Parker had a career-high 46 points, including 16-17 from the line.
Edwards had his second double-double of the season, both versus the Cardinals, with 20 points and 18 boards.
LeSure led the Warriors with a season-high 22 points.
The Warriors hit the road again as they travel to Northwood on Monday for a 8:00 p.m. tip-off.
