Wayne State University senior guard Kris Krzyminski (Flint, Mich./Central) was selected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week for games played between Dec. 19 and Dec. 31.
Krzyminski averaged 23 points in WSU's two games while playing all 80 minutes. He had a game-high 24 points in the 78-69 loss to fifth-ranked Southern Indiana. After being held to just three first half points, Krzyminski exploded for 21 in the second half as WSU trimmed an 18-point halftime deficit to just five points with just over five minutes remaining. He scored 22 points in the 73-65 win over Indy while tying for team-high honors with four assists. Kris leads the GLIAC in scoring (25.9 ppg.) and 3-point field goal percentage (.589).
It marks the third time this year Krzyminski has been honored by the league office.
He scored 14 points and had a game-high six assists in last night's win at Clarion.
The Warriors will play their final 14 regular-season games against GLIAC opponents starting this Saturday at Northwood.
