MERCYHURST/GANNON GAME STORYLINES

The Wayne State University men's basketball team, winner of two of its last three contests, will look to solidify a playoff position with a pair of GLIAC road games this week in Erie, Pa.

The Warriors play at Mercyhurst on Thursday (8 p.m.) and visit Gannon on Saturday (3 p.m.) before returning home for a pair. WSU concludes the regular season at Hillsdale on Feb. 24.

Wayne State is among four schools battling for two automatic spots in the GLIAC South Division. WSU is a game behind Mercyhurst, tied with Ashland and two games ahead of Hillsdale.

ON THE BENCH

Wayne State's David Greer is in his sixth season at the helm of the Warrior basketball program with an 88-74 mark. His overall seven-year coaching mark stands at 105-86, which includes one season at Tiffin (1986-87).

Gary Manchel has a 58-47 record in his fourth year at Mercyhurst. Gannon's John T. Reilly has an 18-29 mark in his second season at Gannon.

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Mercyhurst has won the last three meetings by a combined 13 points. The home team has won the last three meetings in the WSU vs. Gannon series.
