HILLSDALE GAME STORYLINES
The Wayne State University men's basketball team has won three straight league games to move into second place in the GLIAC South Division. The Warriors can finish anywhere from second to fourth in the division, but can clinch a home playoff game with a victory Saturday at Hillsdale.
Even with a loss, WSU can host if Mercyhurst falls Saturday at Gannon. The Warriors' opponent on Feb. 27 will be either Ashland or Mercyhurst.
Kris Krzyminski set the WSU single-season record for three-pointers made last Saturday (81) eclipsing Charles LeSure's 1999-2000 mark of 77, despite ranking only sixth in three-point field goals attempted in a year.
ON THE BENCH
Wayne State's David Greer is in his sixth season at the helm of the Warrior basketball program with a 91-75 mark. His overall seven-year coaching mark stands at 107-86, which includes one season at Tiffin (1986-87).
Ed Douma has a 545-285 record in his 31st year as a collegiate head coach. His eight-year mark at Hillsdale stands at 129-91.
THROUGHOUT THE YEARS
Wayne State leads 39-28 in the all-time series with the home team winning the last five meetings. Each of the last six meetings has been decided by nine or fewer points. The Warriors are 5-6 vs. Hillsdale under Greer including a 1-4 mark in games played at HC.
