MERCYHURST GAME STORYLINES
The Wayne State University men's basketball team had its three game winning streak snapped on Saturday and, coupled with Mercyhurst's win at Gannon, the Warriors will travel to Erie to face the Lakers in a GLIAC quarterfinal contest on Tuesday evening.
This will be WSU's fifth GLIAC tournament appearance in head coach David Greer's six seasons with the Warriors. All four winners of Tuesday's GLIAC quarterfinal games will be re-seeded based on conference winning percentage with the highest seed hosting the semifinals and finals on Friday and Saturday.
ON THE BENCH
Wayne State's David Greer is in his sixth season at the helm of the Warrior basketball program with a 91-76 mark. His overall seven-year coaching mark stands at 107-87, which includes one season at Tiffin (1986-87).
Gary Manchel has a 60-50 record in his fourth year at Mercyhurst.
THROUGHOUT THE YEARS
Wayne State leads 13-11 in the all-time series despite Mercyhurst winning the last four meetings by a total of 23 points. WSU's last win against the Lakers was on Feb. 26, 2005, at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center by a 58-56 score as former Warrior Morris Hall had 18 points.

Wayne State leads the all-time series 13-11.
David Greer has a 6-6 all-time mark versus the Lakers.
The Warriors are 2-4 at Mercyhurst under Greer.
Mercyhurst has won the last four meetings vs. WSU.
Wayne State's last win at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center was on Feb. 26, 2005 (58-56) on two free throws by Erik Parker with :02 left.
This will be the third time WSU has opened GLIAC tournament play in Erie having played at Gannon in 2003 and 2004.
The Warriors also hosted Gannon in 2005.
Wayne State has not won a road GLIAC playoff game since defeating Northern Michigan in the 1993 GLIAC championship contest in Marquette. The Warriors had a neutral site win over Ferris State in 2005.
IN THE POLLS
The Warriors were selected to finish fourth in the GLIAC South Division in the preseason coaches poll, while Mercyhurst was tabbed for third.
