BAY CITY, Mich. - Senior guard Herb Goliday (Royal Oak Twp., Mich.) was named GLIAC South Player of the Week Monday, Feb. 27, announced the league office.

Goliday scored his 1,000th collegiate career point as he tied a career-high with 27 points, helping WSU defeat Hillsdale on Senior Day, 86-79. Goliday's 1,000th point came on a layup with 8:07 to play that gave WSU its largest lead of the game (68-56). He also tallied six rebounds and three assists in the contest while making 11-of-19 of his shots from the floor (.579).

Goliday scored in double figures in 19 straight games, and in all but one this season. He finishes the season ranked seventh in the GLIAC in scoring, averaging 14.8 points per contest, and ranks fifth in the league in minutes played (34.44 mpg.).
