Wayne State University senior guard Kris Krzyminski (Flint, Mich./Central) was voted to the 2006-07 Daktronics NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region First Team. Voting was conducted by sports information directors in the region.

Started all 51 games in WSU career ... was a 2006-07 GLIAC First Team South Division selection ... led WSU in scoring 19 times as WSU returned only two players from a year ago ... scored a game-high 22 points in season-opening loss at Southern Indiana ... also tied for game-best honors with eight rebounds ... recorded a game-high 23 points in setback at Northern Kentucky ... played all 50 minutes in double-overtime win over Northern Michigan on Nov. 21 scoring a game-high 25 points ... scored a game-high 32 points in Nov. 27 win over Clarion ... named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week on Dec. 4 after scoring 95 points in three games, including a career-high 41 against Gannon ... was 11 of 16 beyond the arc against the Golden Knights ... had game-best totals of 22 points and seven rebounds in the loss to Mercyhurst ... selected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week on Dec. 11 after scoring 38 points in a four-point win over Hillsdale ... named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week after scoring 46 points in games against Southern Indiana (game-high 24 points) and Indianapolis ... scored a game-high 24 points in the win at Northwood, including 10 of 14 from the foul line ... tallied a team-best 27 points in setback at Ashland ... scored a team-best 17 points in a loss at Findlay ... had 26 points and four assists in win over Michigan Tech ... scored a team-high 26 points in loss to NMU ... recorded a game-high 28 points in win at Lake Superior ... had a game-high 29 points along with eight rebounds and five assists in win over Ashland ... scored a game-best 24 points in loss at Mercyhurst ... tallied a game-high 34 points in the win at Gannon on 12 of 21 shooting ... also had a career-high seven steals at GU ... scored 23 points on nine-of-15 shooting in win over Ferris State ... recorded a game-high 26 points in win over Saginaw Valley including five of eight from beyond the arc ... has made at least one three-point shot in every game this season ... broke the school record for three-pointers made in a season with 81 despite ranking only sixth in three-pointers attempted (159) in a year ... his 620 points this season is fourth best single-season total in school history, while his 23.8 scoring average ranks third for a season in WSU history ... shattered the school record for three-point field goal percentage in a season at .506 (old record was .457) ... at the end of the regular season, he was ranked nationally in five categories: second in three-point field goal percentage (50.6), seventh in scoring (24.0 points per game), 29th in three-point field goals made per game (3.2), 41st in free throw percentage (84.1) and 96th in field goal percentage (3.0) ... in terms of GLIAC rankings (as of March 5): he is first in scoring, eighth in field goal percentage (but he has made at least 45 more shots than anybody ahead of him), tied-for-sixth in assists, fifth in free throw percentage, 10th in steals, first in three-point percentage, third in three-point field goals made, and first in minutes played ... voted to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team ... scored 973 points in 51 games for the Green and Gold.
Joining Krzyminski on the Great Lakes Region First Team were Northern Michigan's Ricky Volcy (who was also selected Great Lakes Region Player of the Year), Findlay's Frank Phillips, Lewis' Brandon Dagans and the GLVC Player of the Year, Steven Wright from Northern Kentucky.
Named to the Second Team were Ashland's Greg Emmons, Quincy's Joel Box, Drury's Collins Harris, and Southern Indiana's Rashard Sullivan and Melvin Hall.
