BAY CITY, Mich. - Redshirt senior Herb Goliday (Royal Oak Twp., Mich.) was named to the GLIAC All-Academic men's basketball team for the second straight season.
Goliday, a First Team All-GLIAC South Division selection, led the team in scoring (14.8), rebounding (6.0) and blocks (16). He had a streak of 56 straight games in which he started and scored his 1,000th career point against Hillsdale in his final game.
Goliday, a member of the WSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), is a kinesiology major with a minor in health education. He was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.5+) for Fall 2004 and to the Coach's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.0-3.49) for Fall 2003.
To be eligible for GLIAC All-Academic status a student-athlete must have: a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale); must be a starter or key reserve; and must not be a freshman or first-year transfer.
