The Wayne State Athletic Department has compiled a list of the top 33 men's basketball players in school history. The players and their credentials are listed below and the attached PDF, along with the years they participated.
In order to narrow the field to the 10 best players of all time, WSU Athletics is looking for feedback from fans and alumni. All ballots must list 10 different individuals in order to be valid. The 10 best players will be honored on January 24, 2008. Write-in candidates are allowed.

Michael Aaron (1993-94)
Earned 1993-94 GLIAC Player of the Year and All-GLIAC First Team honors
Led the team in scoring (643), rebounds (228), and FG percentage (.618)
Holds the WSU single-season record for field goals made (256 in 1993-94)
Albert Ament (1985-1989)
2001 WSU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee
Set WSU single-season record for points (654 in 1988-89)
Earned First Team All-GLIAC honors in 1988-89
Career averages place him 14th all-time in scoring (1065), third in FG percentage (.563), 10th in FT percentage (.771), and 10th in rebounds (600)
Scott Armstrong (1990-1994)
2006 WSU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee
Earned Honorable Mention All-GLIAC honors in 1993-94
Selected to the NCAA All-Region squad as a junior
Helped WSU to three NCAA tournaments and an 83-37 mark
Scored 1,080 points
Frederick P. Bens (1934-1936)

Played center on the WSU squad that participated in the 1936 U.S. Olympic tryouts
George R. Brown (1953-1957)
1983 WSU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee
Led team in rebounds three years in a row (finished with 953 in career)
Scored 1,044 points and was a two-time team leading scorer
Played in the NBA with the Minneapolis Lakers
