Houston, Texas - Wayne State University junior fencer Marek Petraszek compiled a 3-6 mark on Sunday, the final day of the 2006 NCAA Championship being held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Houston.
Petraszek dropped to 13th place with a 12-11 overall mark and was +2 in touches (85-83). Jason Henderson of Rutgers finished 12th with 12 victories and +4 in touches (92-88) to earn the final Honorable Mention All-America spot.
As a team, Wayne State finished 10th, the sixth top-10 national placing during Jerzy Radz's tenure at WSU.
Harvard won the national title with 165 bout victories and was followed by Penn State (159), Ohio State (155), Notre Dame (152), Columbia (148), St. John's (139), Stanford (78), Princeton (76), Penn (74) and Wayne State (70).
