Four rounds were held earlier today with rounds 5-7 being conducted tomorrow (Friday, March 23) starting at 9:30 a.m.

Benjamin Bratton of St. John's leads the men's epee with 11 victories. Ties are broken on touch differential (touches scored - touches received). Zingerman is +21 (61-40) with 10 victories to earn second place, while Petraszek is +16 (63-47) and is ranked fourth. Stanley Vaksman of St. John's is third at +18 with 10 wins. Petraszek is tied for first in touches scored.

After the round-robin is completed, the top four fencers in each event will fence direct elimination 15-touch bouts for first, second, third and fourth place. Absolute ties for the seeding will be broken as follows: for positions one through three, by a coin toss; for position four, by a fence-off.

An institution's place finish in the championships will be based on points earned by each individual. A team will be awarded one point for each victory by its student-athletes for the duration of the championships.

The national champion is determined by adding the men's and women's team scores.

The Warriors are currently 10th with 20 victories. Columbia leads with 56, while St. John's is second with 54. Rounding out the top 10 are Notre Dame (52), Penn State (52), Ohio State (48), Penn (38), Harvard (36), Rutgers (26) and Stanford (26).
