Richmond, Va. - Wayne State University freshman fencer Slava Zingerman finished in a third-place tie out of 211 fencers in the men's epee at the North American Cup being held in Richmond, Va.
Zingerman was tied with Luigi Mazzone, trailing only indiviudal champion Alexander Abend and runner-up Benjamin Bratton.
WSU female fencer Anna Garina will compete on Sunday in the women's epee. She placed ninth at the 2005 NAC held in Pittsburgh.
