Wayne State University freshman running back Joique Bell (Benton Harbor, Mich.), junior place-kicker David Chudzinski (Belleville, Mich.) and senior cornerback Derrion Fuqua (Detroit, Mich./Henry Ford) have been named to Hansen's Football Gazette All-America team.

Chudzinski was the First Team Place-kicker, while Bell was named to the Second Team Offense. Fuqua earned Honorable Mention All-America accolades.

This is Bell's fifth All-America honor for the season, and the fourth for Chudzinski. Bell was an AFCA All-America selection and a Second Team Daktronics, Inc. and D2Football.com All-American. Chudzinski was a First Team Daktronics, Inc. All-American and a Second Team D2Football.com All-American. Both players were named AP Little All-Americans. This is the first All-America honor for Fuqua.

In 2006, Wayne State recorded six league victories, equaling a school record while finishing tied-for-fourth in the GLIAC. Two of WSU's four league losses were to NCAA playoff teams (national champion Grand Valley and Northwood). Another loss was to Ferris State, who finished seventh in the Northwest Region narrowly missing an NCAA playoff berth.

The Warriors open the 2007 campaign at home on Sept. 1 against Michigan Tech.
