The Wayne State University football team will play at Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park, Mich., on Saturday September 29, 2007, against the Grand Valley State Lakers. The contest is being called the Fall Classic presented by Centennial Wireless.

Fifth Third Ballpark is the home facility for the West Michigan Whitecaps, the Detroit Tigers Class A affiliate.

The "turn back the clock" event will be presented in an "old school" style by being played in a baseball stadium with throwback uniforms, live music, tailgating, and much more.

"We are very honored the people at Grand Valley would include us in this special event," stated WSU head football coach Paul Winters. "We are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to the challenge."

A limited number of tickets will be on sale starting Monday, May 7 at the WSU ticket office or by calling Jeff Evans at 313-993-4347. Tickets are $15.00 each.
