The Wayne State University Department of Athletics has announced that 2006 Warrior football season tickets are now on sale.

WSU has six home games in 2006 including Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contests against defending national champion Grand Valley State, Hillsdale College, Mercyhurst, Indianapolis and Ashland.
Wayne State has signed a two-year agreement with Saint Joseph's College of Rensselaer, Ind., for a home-and-home series beginning in 2006. The Warriors host the Pumas on Sept. 9, 2006, and will travel to SJC on Sept. 8, 2007.
The home opener vs. SJC is also "Turf Dedication" day for the new FieldTurf being installed at Adams Field.
"We are very excited about the upcoming season," said head coach Paul Winters. "We have great expectations and anticipate a winning season in 2006!"
Schedule Notes:
Home opponents in 2006 represent four different states (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania).
WSU opens against Michigan Tech for the first time since Sept. 21, 1968.
Saint Joseph¹s makes its first trip to Detroit since the season finale in 1999.
WSU concludes the regular season with Ferris State for the first time since Nov. 11, 1989.

Season ticket holders will also receive one free ROAD TRIP ticket to the Northwood game on October 28 with the purchase of a season ticket courtesy of the Athletic Alumni Association. To RSVP for the October 28 bus trip, call Katie Clark at 313-577-0587.
WSU students can receive one free ticket to any regular season home game by presenting a valid OneCard at the football ticket booths.
Free parking is available for all Wayne State football games in lot 50 off Warren Ave.
