The Wayne State University football team was ranked 21st nationally in the pre-season Division II rankings by Street and Smith.
The Warriors are the third ranked GLIAC school with Grand Valley picked No. 1 and Northwood ranked 14th.
Two WSU players were also tabbed to the Street and Smith's D2 All-America team: sophomore running back Joique Bell (Benton Harbor, Mich.) and place-kicker David Chudzinski (Belleville, Mich.).
Wayne State opens the 2007 campaign at home versus Michigan Tech on Saturday, Sept. 1 with a noon kickoff at Adams Field.
