The Wayne State University football team is ranked 10th this week in Super Regional Three by the NCAA Division II Football Committee.

The Warriors are one of four GLIAC teams ranked including #1-Grand Valley, #3-Ashland and #4-Michigan Tech.

Ironically, the last time WSU was ranked was Nov. 6, 2006. A few days prior to a 21-17 setback by the ninth-ranked Warriors at seventh-ranked Ferris State.

Wayne State has won five of its last six games and hosts Hillsdale College this Saturday in a noon kickoff at Adams Field.

The top six teams in each super regional qualify for the NCAA Division II playoffs. However, an earned access to the playoffs can be gained by a conference if a conference representative finishes in the top eight of the final super regional rankings.
