Wayne State University sophomore kick returner Dante Dunn (Lansing, Mich./Waverly) has been selected Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Special Teams Player of the Week.

Dunn had an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to get WSU on the board midway through the second quarter. It was the sixth longest kickoff return for a score in school history.

It was the first kickoff return for a TD by a Warrior since 2001. Dunn finished the contest with four kickoff returns for 159 to lead WSU in all-purpose yards for the game.

Dunn's 159 yards on kickoff returns was the third-best single-game performance on the WSU charts.

The Warriors are 5-3 overall and 5-2 in the GLIAC which ties them for third place with Ferris State, one game behind second place Northwood. WSU travels to Midland to face the Timberwolves this Saturday at noon.
