WSU Football To Host Armed Forces Day On November 4

 
 

 
WSU Athletics will honor the Armed Forces on November 4.

The Wayne State University Department of Athletics will be hosting an Armed Forces Day on Saturday, November 4 as the Warrior football team takes on Ashland University at Noon.

As part of the Armed Forces Day an F-16 from the 127th Fighter Wing at Selfridge Air Force Base will do a pre-game flyover, the game ball will be rappelled down to the field via a helicopter and their will be an Army style climbing wall.

Other events include a Humvee and color guard provided by the US Army Recruiting Company as well as color guards from the 82nd Airborne Division Association and Amvets Post 171 from Wayne, Mich.

Some activities are weather permitting.
