Wayne State University had two ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Second Team selections as announced today by CoSIDA.
Senior offensive lineman Frank Lietke (Walled Lake, Mich./Central) was voted to the second team for the second consecutive year. Joining Lietke on the second team was junior defensive lineman Andrew Bates (Howell, Mich./Howell).
The District IV Academic team was selected by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) located in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. College Division includes all Division II, Division III and NAIA institutions.
This is the sixth consecutive year a WSU football player has been voted to a CoSIDA Academic team.
