Wayne State University senior linebacker Tristan Black (Toronto, Ont./Vanier Prep) and senior safety/return specialist Dante Dunn (Lansing, Mich./Waverly) have been selected to participate in the 2008 East Coast Bowl.
The East Coast Bowl is an annual college football All-Star game that features the most elite Division I-FCS, II, III and NAIA college football players from across the Mid-Atlantic region. The game is held every year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving at Cameron Field in Petersburg, Virginia and is sponsored by the City of Petersburg and the National Football Foundation. All proceeds derived from the game are used to award scholarships to high school students from the Tri-Cities area that intend on playing football at a Division II or III institution.
Black was a three-time All-GLIAC selection (honorable mention in 2006 and 2007, and second team in 2008). He led the Warriors in tackles with 101 and quarterback hurries with five.
Dunn had 17 kickoff returns for 522 yards and two touchdowns to rank fifth nationally in kickoff return average. He also recorded 82 tackles including 59 solo, three interceptions, nine pass break-ups while blocking three kicks.
The seventh annual East Coast Bowl will take place on Saturday, Nov. 29.
