Wayne State University sophomore running back Joique Bell (Benton Harbor, Mich.) was voted to the 2007 Daktronics, Inc. Division II Football All-Northwest Region First Team by the Sports Information Directors in the region.
Bell was previously voted 2007 GLIAC Offensive Back of the Year and First Team All-GLIAC by the conference head coaches.
This is the second consecutive year Bell has been voted to the Daktronics, Inc. All-Northwest Region First Team.
In 11 games played in 2007, Bell rushed 289 times for 1,427 yards (4.9 ypc) with 25 TD. He averaged 129.7 rushing yards per game. He also contributed to the passing attack with 22 receptions for 230 yards (10.5 ypc) and three TD. Bell completed three of five passes for 101 yards and a touchdown and finished the season with 1,528 yards of total offense. He also scored 28 touchdowns for 168 points.
Bell was one of 24 finalists for the Harlon Hill trophy for the second straight season.
