Wayne State University senior defensive lineman Michael Hall (Inkster, Mich./Belleville) has been named to the 2005 Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-Northwest Region Third Team.
Hall was named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team after starting all nine games he played. He made his 25th career start in the season finale at Hillsdale.
Some of his game highlights in 2005 were: tied for team-high honors with six solo and 11 total tackles against Northwood ... tied for team-high honors with six solo and 11 total tackles at Saginaw Valley ... also had a fumble recovery and 1.5 tackles for loss vs. the Cardinals ... had a team-best 11 tackles at Northern Michigan ... had a fumble recovery vs. Michigan Tech ... blocked an Ashland extra point attempt ... had a game-high 10 tackles (8-2) against Gannon including a tackle for loss, a pass break-up and two quarterback hurries ... made 11 tackles (5-6) including one for loss in season finale at Hillsdale.
During the season he played on the punt coverage team ... led the squad with 41 solo and 69 total tackles ... tied for team-high honors with two fumble recoveries ... his seven tackles for loss was tied for third on the team ... had double-digit tackle totals in five games ... selected WSU's Defensive Player of the Week for the Northwood game ... selected WSU's co-Defensive Player of the Week for the Gannon contest ... selected WSU's Defensive Player of the Week for the Hillsdale game.
