COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Wayne State men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational, held at Otter Creek Golf Course, this past weekend.
The Warriors posted team scores of 298 on Saturday and 299 on Sunday for a combined score of 597, 15 strokes behind the host Rangers (582), who won the event.
Ryan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) was the top finishing Warrior, as he tied-for-second with a score of 145, including a second-round score of 70, lowest in the field on Sunday.
Joe Juszczyk (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child) tied-for-19th (71-78--149), Brett Hudson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary's) shot 154 (78-76) to tie-for-42nd, and Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) finished in a tie-for-56th (81-75--156).
Bryan Lynch (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) (78-87--165) and Lance Chamberlain (Allen Park, Mich.) (74-91--165) each tied-for-75th.
Wayne State will travel to Carrollton, Ky., this weekend (March 31-April 1) for a Great Lakes Regional at Perry Park Country Club
