Perry Park, Ky. - The Wayne State University men's golf team placed 14th out of 19 teams at the NCAA Regional #2 held this past weekend at Perry Park Country Club in Kentucky.

The Warrior's finished the 36-hole tournament with back-to-back rounds of 300 for a two-day total of 600. Grand Valley State University won the team title with a score of 574 (285-289), while Northwood placed second (290-289--579) and Ferris State took third (290-290--580).

Junior Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) led the team with a third-place finish overall, shooting three under par for the tournament (71-70--141). Senior Jacob Abramson (St. Clair, Mich.) tied-for-33rd with a total of 149 (74-75), while Junior Lance Chamberlain (Allen Park, Mich.) tied-for-66th (76-78--154).

Freshman Don Kring (Williamsburg, Mich./Traverse City St. Francis) finished in a tie-for-74th (79-77--156), and senior Chris Hill (Sarnia, Ont./St. Patrick's) tied-for-80th (79-79--158).

Wayne State returns to the links on Friday and Saturday, April 7th and 8th at the Findlay Invitational at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Arlington, Ohio
