ASHLAND, Ohio - The Wayne State men's golf team finished third at the Ashland Invitational on Monday, tying the team's best finish of the season. The Warriors fired a 302 in the second round to finish the two-day event at 613 for the 36-hole event.

Junior Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) fired a second round 70 to finish as the tournament runner-up with a two-day total of 147 (77-70). Senior Jacob Abramson (St. Clair, Mich.) shot 148 (73-73) for the tournament, good for third overall. Freshman Don Kring tied-for-27th with a total of 158 (77-81), while junior Lance Chamberlain tied-for-35th (82-78--160) and senior Kevin Zeleji tied-for-44th (87-81--168).

The team returns to action on Friday, April 14th and Saturday, April 15th when it competes in the NCAA Regional #3 at Timbergate Golf Course in Edinburgh, Ind.
