ASHLAND, Ohio - The Wayne State men's golf team finished tied-for-fourth at the Ashland Invitational this past weekend. The Warriors posted scores of 309 on Friday and 305 on Saturday for a combined 614.

Ferris State (300-296--596) won the event, followed by Findlay (308-299--607) and Saginaw Valley State (300-311--611). Northwood (310-304--614) matched WSU's fourth-place total, while Gannon (319-302--621), Grand Valley State (314-308--622), Ashland (318-304--622), and Northern Michigan (348-340--688) rounded out the rest of the field.

Brett Hudson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary's) was the top finisher for Wayne State, shooting 149 (73-76) to tie for fifth. Ryan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) was two strokes off Hudson's pace in a tie-for-eighth (78-73--151).

Joe Juszczyk (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child) tied-for-15th (77-77--154), Lance Chamberlain (Allen Park, Mich.) shot 161 (82-79) to tie-for-38th, and Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) finished tied-for-41st (81-81--162). Bryan Lynch (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) came in 56th place (83-84--167).

Wayne State will play in the Findlay Invitational at Sycamore Springs Golf Course on Sunday and Monday.
