FINDLAY, Ohio - The Wayne State men's golf team finished in second place at the Findlay Invitational, four strokes off the pace of first-place Grand Valley State (305-311--616). The Warriors shot team scores of 310 both Sunday and Monday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course for a total of 620.

The host Oilers came in third (314-308--622), while Northwood (310-314--624) and Saginaw Valley State (311-316--627) rounded out the top five.

Ryan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) was the top finishing Warrior, shooting 74 each day to place second with a total of 148, a stroke behind GV's Josh Orler.

Brett Hudson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary's) tied-for-fifth with a score of 153 (74-79), and Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) came in a tie-for-16th (81-76--157).

Also factoring into the team scoring were Lance Chamberlain (Allen Park, Mich.) and Joe Juszczyk (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child), who each posted a score of 164 to tie-for-43rd.

Playing individually, Dave Anderson (Sarnia, Ont./St. Clair Secondary) tied-for-43rd (85-79--164) as well, while Bryan Lynch (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) finished 63rd (90-87--177).

Wayne State will participate in the third and final Great Lakes Regional of the season this weekend, April 21-22, held at Lockhaven Country Club in Alton, Ill.
