ERIE, Pa. - The WSU golf team completed its regular spring season on Tuesday at the Gannon Spring Invitational, finishing in fourth place.

Senior Jacob Abramson (St. Clair, Mich.) was the top finishing Warrior, as he shot a 74 to take fourth place. He was only one stroke off the lead, which was decided in a playoff between Findlay's Chris Bussell, Mercyhurst's Kyle Waddell, and winner Brendan Flood, also from Mercyhurst.

Junior Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) tied-for-ninth with a score of 79. Also competing for Wayne State were junior Lance Chamberlain (Allen Park, Mich.), who tied-for-20th (83), freshman Cory Vandivier (Belleville, Mich.), who finished in 26th (88), and freshman Don Kring (Williamsburg, Mich.), who placed into a tie-for-31st (94).

Wilson will be the lone WSU representative at the NCAA Super Regional, held at Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Joliet, Ill., beginning Monday.
