BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - After finishing the first day of competition at the Ferris State Invitational in last place, the Wayne State men's golf team rebounded on Sunday to finish in eighth overall.  Their team score of 608 (309-299) put them one stroke behind seventh-place Wisconsin-Parkside and 32 strokes off the lead.

Senior Nathan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) was the top finishing Warrior with a score of 150 (75-75), placing in a tie for 21st.  Sophomores Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) and Lance Chamberlain (Allen Park, Mich.) finished tied for 31st with a score of 152.

Redshirt senior Kevin Zeleji (Southgate, Mich./Anderson) and junior Chris Hill (Sarnia, Ont./St. Patrick's) each managed to improve their opening round score by six strokes on Sunday.  Zeleji tied for 42nd with a score of 154 (80-74), while Hill placed in a tie for 63rd with 162 (84-78).  Freshman Cory Vandiver (Belleville, Mich.) finished with a 168 (82-86) for 70th place.
