BAY CITY, Mich. - Through the first round of the Bay Valley Intercollegiate on Friday, the Wayne State golf team is tied for first with a combined score of 294.
Grand Valley State matched WSU's score of 294, while Northwood is two strokes back in third (296) and the hosts from Saginaw Valley State posted a 298 for fourth place.
Ryan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) is the leader after carding a 69 on Friday, and Brett Hudson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary's) is tied for 10th with a 73.
Eric Johnson (Marquette, Mich.) posted a 75 to tie for 18th, Joe Juszczyk (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child) is tied for 28th (77) and Bryan Lynch (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) is tied for 33rd with a 78.
The second round at the Bay Valley Golf Club will begin Saturday morning.
