INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - WSU junior Joe Wilson (Trenton, Mich.) is among 80 teams and 50 individuals selected to participate in the 2006 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships Super Regionals. Wilson is one of five individuals who will participate at the Central/Great Lakes Super Regional at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Crest Hill, Ill., hosted by Lewis University.

Wilson tied-for-sixth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional #2 thanks to a season-low score of 70. He is averaging a career-best 75.14 in his 22 rounds this season and has four top-5 finishes in his last seven tournaments.

The top team from each region within the Super Regional and the top individual not with a team from each Super Regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 16-19 at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.Va. The finals will be hosted by Concord University and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Ten additional teams will earn berths to the finals. These teams will be determined based on the previous three-year average of top-10 finishes of a super regional at the finals.
