Wayne State University golfer Ryan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) finished in a tie-for-50th at the 104th Western Amateur held at Point O'Woods G. & C.C. in Benton Harbor, Mich.

Johnson had opening rounds of 73-73 on the par 70 course to earn a spot in day three's competition as he was tied-for-36th out of 155 golfers.

Johnson shot a 75 on Friday to finish with a 221.
