Frank Novock completed his second season as an assistant coach for the Wayne State men's hockey team in 2007-08.
Novock played hockey for four years (1995-99) at Western Michigan under current Warriors head coach Bill Wilkinson, totaling 91 points (43 G, 48 A) in 149 career games. He led the squad with 14 goals and 29 points in 1997-98 and earned the Rob Hodge Most Valuable Player award.
Novock, who served as an assistant captain in 1997-98 before donning the "C" in 1998-99, was also presented with the KOHA "Grinder" Award for Perseverance following his senior season in which he led the team with 16 assists.
After his collegiate playing career ended, Novock spent four years in the ECHL. He played his first two seasons in the league for the Richmond Renegades, tallying 51 points (23 G, 28 A) over 70 games in his first season (1999-00), and followed it up with a 35-point season the next year. He went on to the Roanoke Express for two seasons, amassing 87 points (41 G, 46 A) in 134 games.
A 1999 graduate of WMU, Novock currently resides in Rockwood with his wife, Stacie, and sons Hunter (2) and Ryder (3 months).
