BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Wayne State men's hockey team (8-17-2, 4-7-0 CHA) snapped a 10-game winless streak at Bemidji State with a 3-2 victory over the Beavers (12-12-3, 9-3-3 CHA) on Friday night at John S. Glas Fieldhouse.

Freshman forward Dylan Exton (Calgary, Alb./Prince George Spruce Kings) scored the game-winning goal in the third period to cap off a come-from-behind triumph for the Warriors, as they earned their first win in Bemidji since Feb. 23, 2002.

Seniors Stavros Paskaris (Dearborn, Mich./Kewadin Indians) and Derek Bachynski (Belle River, Ont./Leamington Flyers) continued their torrid scoring pace with a goal and an assist apiece. The pair have a combined 22 points in the last six games. Sophomore Ryan Bernardi (Etobicoke, Ont./Milton Icehawks) assisted on each of their goals for his third career multi-point game.

Cody Bostock and Matt Read scored 2:40 apart late in the opening period to give the Beavers a 2-0 lead, but that would be all the offense the home team could muster against WSU goaltender Brett Bothwell (Red Deer, Alb./Yorkton Terriers), who totaled 28 saves for his third straight win.

After Paskaris cut the Warriors' deficit in half 34 seconds into the middle stanza, tying the school record for the fourth-fastest goal to begin the second period, Bachynski tied the game on a power-play with just under three minutes to go in the frame.

A trio of rookies came together for the game-winner at 12:44 of the final period, as Ryan Adams (Deloraine, Man./Fargo-Moorhead Jets) and Brock Meadows (Mission, B.C./Salmon Arm Silverbacks) assisted on Exton's second goal of the season.

Wayne State and Bemidji State will meet again Saturday night for a 8:05 p.m. ET faceoff at the Glas Fieldhouse.
