The Wayne State University men's hockey team held its annual Green-White game Saturday evening (Oct. 4) at Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth Mich.
Senior Travis Rycroft (Penticton, B.C./Merritt Centennials) had two goals for team Green. Other goal scorers for team Green included Pat Lerg, Nate Higgins (Calgary, Alb./Green Bay Gamblers) and Jason Bloomingberg.
Scoring the first goal for team White was Mark Cannon (River Rouge, Mich./Compuware Ambassadors). The other goal scorer for team White was Ryan Wright (Brownstown, Mich./Texas Tornado).
Wayne State plays an exhibition contest on Oct. 7 against the University of Windsor. Faceoff is slated for 7:05 p.m. at Compuware Sports Arena.
WSU's first "official" games will be Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10-11 when the Wayne State Warriors take on the St. Lawrence Saints in Canton, New York. The Wayne State home opener is slated for October 16 at 7:05 p.m. against the visiting Findlay Oilers at Compuware Sports Arena.
