SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Wayne State men's hockey team was shut out for the third time in the last five games, losing 3-0 at Lake Superior State on Friday night.

Both the first and third periods were scoreless, but the 20 minutes in between were controlled by the home team, as the Lakers tallied three unanswered goals and outshot the Warriors, 15-2.

Lake Superior State scored two short-handed goals in a span of 74 seconds midway through the period, as Trent Campbell lit the lamp for the fourth time this season while Derek Smith scored his first.
