BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In the second game of its weekend home-and-home series with Bowling Green State, the Wayne State men's hockey team was defeated, 6-1, on Saturday night at the BGSU Ice Arena.

BGSU netted three power-play goals for the second straight night, while Wayne State was again held scoreless on special teams.

Stavros Paskaris (Dearborn, Mich./Kewadin Indians) scored WSU's only goal with 28 second remaining in the first period, with assists from Ryan Bernardi (Etobicoke, Ont./Milton Icehawks) and Jordan Inglis (108 Mile Ranch, B.C./Prince George Spruce Kings).

James Perkin and David Solway each notched a power-play tally in the first period, giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead until Paskaris' second goal of the season cut the Warriors' deficit in half.

Bowling Green proceeded to score four unanswered goals, three of which came in the second period - an unassisted short-handed marker by Dan Sexton and two goals by Kai Kantola.

Mike Nesdill, who totaled three assists, was one of five Falcons to post a multiple-point game.

Brett Bothwell (Red Deer, Alb./Yorkton Terriers) finished with 27 saves in the loss, while Nick Eno totaled 17 saves for Bowling Green.

Wayne State's nine-game road trip continues next weekend, Dec. 7-8, at Western Michigan.
