Twelve student-athletes from the 2006-07 Wayne State men's hockey team have been named to the College Hockey America All-Academic Team.

It marks the highest number of honorees from Wayne State since 15 Warriors were named to the squad in the 2000-01 season.

Four Warriors earned the award for the third time in their careers - seniors Matt Boldt (Burnsville, Minn./Billings Bulls), Taylor Donohoe (Richmond, B.C./Powell River Kings), Adam Drescher (Belleville, Mich./Wexford Raiders), and Will Hooper (Woodbridge, Ont./Wexford Raiders).

To earn placement on the CHA All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have completed at least one year of residency at his present institution prior to the current academic year. The student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale) for the previous two semesters or three quarters, or an overall GPA of at least 3.00 for all terms at his present institution.
