At the 2003 College Hockey America awards banquet held on March 13 in Kearney, Nebraska, two Wayne State University men's hockey players were honored.

Senior defenseman Keith Stanich (Bethel Park, Pa./Waterloo Black Hawks) was a second team all-league selection, while freshman Derek MacKay (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont./Soo Thunderbirds) was named to the CHA All-Rookie team.
