Former Wayne State University goaltender David Guerrera (St. Leonard, Que.) was named Central Hockey League Playoff Most Valuable Player last night as he led the Laredo Bucks to a 3-2 overtime win in game seven over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in front of a sold out crowd at the Laredo Entertainment Center.

Guerrera won eight games in the playoff and recorded a 1.65 goals-against average with a .934 save percentage. In game seven, he stopped 40 shots as Laredo twice rallied from one-goal deficits.
